Written by Emma Freeman Whenever you go to war in your own land against the enemy who is hostile to you, you are to sound short blasts of alarm. Then you will be remembered before Adonai your God and be delivered from your enemies. Numbers 10:9 On Yom Teruah (Numbers 29:1) we gathered at Eastgate to seek God to give us the city of Leeds for His Kingdom. We brought trumpets & a shofar to make declarations to the authorities and principalities in the spirit realms. We fight in His strength & go in His victory (Proverbs 21:31). If a shofar alarm sounds in a city, will people not tremble? If there is calamity in a city, has not Adonai caused it? For the Lord Adonai, will do nothing, unless He has revealed His counsel to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:6-7 TLV - A call for clarity of hearing & seeing - the prophets & seers will know the plans of the Lord. “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from one another on the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the shofar, join us there. Our God will fight for us!” Numbers 4:13-14 - A wake up call for the watchman to take their positions. if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 1 Corinthians 14:8 NIV The sound needs to be loud, clear & in the right timing so that people will know the call is for them & what they are responding to - is it a war, or a wedding? Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 1 Corinthians 14:6 NIV - A call for clear, pure teaching from His heart & His word. Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 1 Corinthians 14:7 NIV - A call for clear, pure worship from our hearts to His alone. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church. 1 Corinthians 14:6-12 NIV - A call for unity & building up of the body. We worshiped with flags from Eastgate, down Briggate ending at the Corn Exchange. Our work felt done but inside was the icing on the cake - a piano for anyone to play! We worshiped and played a spirit led song to cleanse the atmosphere.

Written by John Chamberlain-Butt and Sheila Eike John: One Monday on the way to our weekly prayer meeting the place name Beersheba lodged in my mind which I mentioned to those present. Another had brought for prayer an article about detention of men from war torn east Africa in Holot camp near Beersheba, close to the Egyptian border. Apparently quite a few are Christians and considered by the writer of the report to be genuine refugees denied fair treatment. (Such people are regarded in most counties as 60-80% asylum seekers but Israel have only accepted 1% and will not allow the rest to integrate, so they wait in limbo for the possibility that other countries will receive them. A few have been taken by Uganda. The high court in Israel have ruled twice that the centre should be closed but the government has each time legislated to overturn those rulings) This became a seed for our latest visit to Israel. During our time in the desert we drove towards Holot and found a piece of vacant ground within sight of the camp. Our prayers and declarations were made whilst 12 of the team were arrayed in angel wings raised to heaven and spread as sign of heaven coming to earth in blessing, protection and in His will being brought about. Whilst we were preparing an army/police car pulled up and the driver asked what was going on. “This looks very interesting” the officer said with a smile. Ginnie explained we had come off the road to bless and pray for the people of Israel. The officers did not move us on- rather they were appreciative and gave their blessing for us to continue. So when they moved on we interceded there for the inmates in the detention centre- for strengthening of believers and for God encounters to bring others to Yeshua; and for the fire of the Holy Spirit to come into that place. We also interceded for the Israeli Government that they might perceive and enter their destiny in this matter by becoming a beacon of righteousness according to God’s heart of mercy Is 62:1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. We shouted in unison to earthly and spiritual powers “set the captives free!” One of the team spotted a sign in Hebrew where we had turned off the road. We couldn’t translate it except that in the middle was printed in English “consider it done”. A couple of African looking men were wandering about near to us– they were quite possibly from Holot as detainees are allowed to leave the camp (so technically not prisoners) but would be arrested if found elsewhere in Israel. One of the team presented one of these guys with a Hebrew New Testament which he gratefully received. It was also on the heart of one of the Sh’ma family that it was very significant that Kadesh Barnea was in sight only 2 miles away at the border with Egypt. This was the place named in from which 12 spies were sent to spy out the promised land - 1 spy per tribe but only Joshua and Caleb brought back a hopeful report based on faith in God. The others saw the walled cities and backed off. Num 32:8, Num 13. Facing the border, we prayed for Egypt for revelation of Messiah to the Muslims and strengthening of the Christians, and declared that God calls Egypt ‘My Beloved’. Then facing north, we prayed for the Jewish people, for their protection in the land and that the believers in the land would be persistent and courageous like Joshua and Caleb and bring the next generation through into their full inheritance in the Kingdom of Messiah. Shelia: After we danced near the Holt Detention Center, one of those little desert whirlwinds that pop up appeared (we often see them on film in the Arizona desert). This one wasn’t cone shaped but cylindrical; it was revolving but never moved from it’s place. It made me think ‘was this the pillar of cloud that God sent ahead of the Israelis during the 40 years wandering? Emma: I had been praying for any believers in the detention center & for God to send His word in. A man walked past us, presumably to go to the center as there isn't much around here. Virginia gave me a Hebrew bible & encouraged me to go say hello. Thankfully he spoke Hebrew & I was able to have a very brief conversation with him, after which he gratefully received the bible. Written by Emma Freeman We opened the Wesley brothers well in Thorpe Hesley. Since doing this He keeps confirming to us the well is open!!! We feel the Lord has encouraged us to do more here. Watch this space.... The plaque reads "Near this spot John Wesley preached many times between the years 1742-1786" Below: calling for the manifestation of Heaven on Earth. We then went on to Swinton.... We stood with & interceded for them and of course some of this was done through dance! God spoke to us a lot on the way to Swinton, encouraging us that His heart is really FOR Swinton! We bless Swinton and ask for the presence of the Kingdom & the glory of our King to be made known there! Written by Virginia White After leading our slot at the 24 hour worship led by Brenda Taylor, we felt we should go to the Houses of Parliament at 3.a.m. to proclaim: ‘THE HOUR IS CHANGING’ ….prophetic word during the watch ‘ARE YOU AWAKE!’ Not just conscious . Luke 22 v 46 ‘Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.’ That’s all we knew…. That something was changing! (We had a bit of trouble all setting off together, some went a different route, but we ALL arrived in Unity!) There were many different proclamations and prayers from the dear saints who stood with us. This is some of what was recorded as we prayed together before we left Emmanuel: Dislodging of satanic stronghold – breaking of chains – proclaiming truth and building the kingdom Let my people go- severing from the E.U. – no compromise- John 18 v 17 -37 - Protection prayers Let those who serve, do so from a place of worship - That the government shall be upon His shoulders- John 14 v 12 - Something will shift at 3.a.m. – Road block prayers against lying spirits Arise mighty army of God – THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT WE SAW: At 3.a.m. we opened the wings, we stood silently –a wind sprung up from nowhere, we prayed silent prayers, Through the windows in Parliament there were still computer screens flickering – People stopped in taxis and shouted ‘What’s happening? Who are you?’ There were green lights, the time for moving was now – We saw crosses, a Union Jack- Prayed for Guardian Angels –someone felt footsteps- prayed against demonic lay lines - Prayed against ‘Rats’ in Parliament – Someone felt a shift in the atmosphere- We stood as protectors - We saw a statue of a dark King – felt a dark religious spirit - took authority over the administration in Jesus name – Sang ‘Lord take up your Holy Throne.’ We can only do what the Lord shows us, and that my friends, leaves everything else in His hands. Grateful thanks to all the amazing warriors who listened and came to this truly powerful 24 hours of worship! Sh’ma Team Emma Freeman, Virginia White & Robert Hopkins We joined a praise meeting at the church. Part of the way through worshiping, the generator had to be changed, so without electricity the music stopped and everyone sat and waited... “Oh Lord, you’re still here and we have our voices, please can we can we continue to worship you with what we’ve got”. Shortly after asking this, one of the members of the church got up and started singing, so worship continued a cappella until the electricity was restored! Thank you God! After this the bishop said, ‘and now our sister will share the word’! Virginia hadn’t planned a thing, but God had and she followed the Spirit and delivered an amazing word! Then we were back for more outreach! We danced, we worshiped, we did the alter call and many came through the blood of salvation! Masses of children and young people came. By the end of our stay Robert had been renamed ‘Jatango’, which means miracle vessel/worker of God: I had the privilege of praying with so many while there. I will share a few stand out ones. The Pastors kept bringing people for me to pray with. A young man late twenties had problems and as I prayed a word of knowledge came and I cast out a bad spirit, He who the Son sets free ....and He was free, totally changed! On the first night of outreach when it was dark, the Pastors fetched me to the rear of the shelter we were under and asked me to pray with a young woman who had been bitten by a snake!! After prayer she was calm and full of peace, the next night she was dancing and singing with the rest of the lovely choir/dancers. This man had back problems and walked with a stick. After prayer I told him to dance...he did! He had to come back to take away his stick! On the final morning I got whisked away on the back of a motorbike to the Pastors house to pray with his house keeper and her young child. Amazing privilege that God should use me in such ways. There are many other people I personally prayed with but these are the standout ones. To God be the glory
That evening the pastors and leaders presented us with a live young goat…how do you get a goat on a plane and does it need a visa?! Thankfully none of this was an issue as our gift was served for lunch the next day! This is a high honour in their culture, which we gratefully received. Written by Emma Freeman As we traveled from Kampala to Pakwach, we waited on God for words He wanted us to declare as we crossed the gateway bridge over the Nile from Murchison National park into Packwach. The elders from Pakwach we were to work with led by our John Komogum and a few believers met us at the bridge, which was built by Israeli’s. We walked together symbolically over into their town.
This is what we felt the Lord gave us to declare: Psalm 24 Numbers 10:9 We blew the shofar and sang ‘Prepare Ye the Way’ as we all walked across. Written by Emma Freeman We felt it would be good to take our wings as a prophetic act and to silently pray over and hear what the Lord wanted to say about Stormont and Ireland. While listening for what was on the Lords heart for Ireland, I heard Him say He wanted to release joy. I felt Him say to do this prophetically by offering a 'drink offering' to Him of prosecco*! I also heard the song 'Joy' which sings 'We're choosing celebration, breaking into freedom... you're the joy, joy, joy, lighting my soul', which I thought was a great song to celebrate to as we did this. I then realised it's sung by the Rend Collective (who are Irish) - how apt! *A few of us thought it might be fun to bring prosecco along to drink with lunch but it was far more fun to offer it to the Lord while dancing joy and celebration of our Lord into the land! |
